FYD Queensland was established in October 2009 by Tim Draper, the long-standing General Manager of FYD’s North Shore, Central and South Auckland Trusts who recently immigrated to Brisbane.

Fundraising began in earnest from February 2010 and the very first Australia-based Stars programme commenced this year.

The Stars programme launched in Brisbane earlier this year and has a huge supporter in the form of Jack Ryan, Principal of Brisbane Adventist College where the programme is being run.

As luck would have it, Jack was Principal at ASDAH school in Auckland where the very first Stars pilot was run over 10 years ago and he was very keen to be involved with the programme again.

The students having recently returned from their Adventure Camp and the response from students and parents alike has been overwhelmingly positive.
