Northland College students shine at Adventure Camp

Year 9 students at Northland College have now settled in after an exciting start to the year on their Adventure Camp, which was held at Coopers Beach Youth Camp in the beautiful panorama of Doubtless Bay. Over 100 students attended the camp, including 24 Peer Mentors.

Students participated in a range of activities including a 'Top Town' event, early morning runs, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, search and rescue and the high ropes course. Overnight camps were held at the Matai Bay DOC reserve, where students were given basic ingredients to cook their own dinner.

It was inspiring to see the students encouraging and supporting each other during the activities and having fun. it was obvious that the Adventure Camp was crucial in encouraging junior and senior students to form positive relationships and learn to work together.
