History and Crowth
Project K was developed by Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson, in consultation with leading educationalists and youth workers in 1995. There has been steady growth over the last 14 years and programmes are now being run in 11 regions throught New Zealand.
The key elements of the Project K programme include essential skills such as teamwork, goal-setting, planning, preparation and communication. These skills provide the foundation for positive youth develpment which assists the students to maximise their potential.
Mary Stewart initiated Project K in Hawkes Bay in 2002. Project K Hawkes Bay is operated by The Koru Youth Trust.
