How Project K works

How Project K works

Project K combines three complementary stages into one comprehensive, 14-month programme for Year 10 students.  it is aimed at young people who have untapped potential and could benefit from increased self-confidence and lifeskills.

Project K works through secondary schools.  Year 10 students who will most benefit are identified through a survey and in consultation with teachers and parents.

The programme includes adventure-based learning in the wilderness followed by a community challenge, during which students explore their community and learn its values.  The final stage is a 12-month mentoring stage designed to support goal setting and sustain the positive changes from the first two stages.

Project K is about giving our young people the tools and the confidence to realise their potential.
