Regional Excellence Awards 2008

Our Regional Excellence Awards were held at Havelock North Community Centre on 27 March 2008.

Regional Finalists this year include Jason Parker and Nicola Biss of Central Hawkes Bay College, Georgia McDougal and Hannah Barnden of Karamu High School and Samantha Groube, Nikita Matthews and Chad Ryan of Taradale High School.

All of our students have truly excelled on the programme, and have become excellent role models to other young people in our community.

Nicola Biss of Central Hawkes Bay College was selected to represent Hawkes Bay at the National Excellence Awards which took place on 18 September 2008.

Student representatives from around the country were treated to a sky jump off the Aucklands Sky Tower and then students, mentors and their families embarked on a Bridge Climb of Auckland Harbour Bridge.  The day concluded at Government House, Auckland for presentations to all students by His Excellency Anand Satyanand.
