Here in Kaikohe we celebrated the end of a fantastic 2011 with a rewards trip to celebrate students who had been recognised over a period of two terms from our four Kiwi Can schools.
During each Kiwi Can lesson students had the opportunity to receive a voucher for showing a variety of attributes including a positive attitude, encouragement and teamwork. The goal was to receive eight ‘clicks’ on their voucher which would qualify them to attend the trip.
We had 42 students qualify and we took them to Paihia to participate in a range of challenges at Action World, including walking the high wire, swinging from monkey bars, the climbing wall and ladder, the high trapeze, water slide, mini golf and many more fun challenging activities. The day finished with a BBQ lunch for everyone.
Games galore!

Kaikohe students recently had the opportunity to take part in a three day event bringing all four Kiwi Can schools in the region together to participate in a range of challenging activities.
The activities were a chance for the students to put what they had learnt in Kiwi Can into practise such as a positive attitude, teamwork, encouragement and having lots of fun.
This event was a huge success, we had whanau members, every teacher and principal arriving on all three days to watch their tamariki participate and enjoy the event. |
